Let's Review

Let’s Review: Smart WordPress Review & Rating Plugin

If you are running an eCommerce website or an affiliate blog, you must include a review or rating section for potential products. It is one of the key selling points that entice customers to purchase your product through your affiliate link.

You can use free plugins or even paid plugins, but you should use the best one if you want to have full control. Today we will share a new WordPress plugin review that you will find very user-friendly.

The focus of our attention is on this “Let’s Review” plugin that we are sharing freely so that you can also benefit from it.

What is Let’s Review Plugin

A WordPress plugin allows you to set different numbers, percentages, stars, or even custom icons and images for rating a product. You can use different designs for your review sections that will allow your readers to rate the product as well.

The plugin does not have that little feature to make it worthy of praise. Additionally, you can add pros and cons, short descriptions, or even assign multiple scores to the item you are reviewing. You can also upload a dedicated image of the product for the review section.

Let’s Review Installation Process

This is a premium plugin, so there is no free trial, nor will you find it in the WP repository. You will have to download the plugin from Codecanyon and install it manually.

Go to plugin panel >> Add new >> Upload Zip>> Install.

After installation, you will have to activate the plugin, and that’s it.

Let’s Review Plugins Navigations

When the installation is complete, you will see a new option appear in the left dashboard panel of your WordPress site. When you click there, you will be taken to the Welcome page for the plugin.

Besides that, there are four more navigation tabs available.

  • Options
  • Default Values
  • Help and
  • Migration

Welcome

In this tab, there is nothing more than a welcome landing page. You get a changelog feature that shows what the developers have done in updates.

Help

Let's review help

On this tab, you will find 3 additional options:

  • Documentation
  • Video Tutorials
  • Support.

The documentation explains how to use the plugin as a developer would. Some very technical information and what you should do if you are unable to locate your desired feature.

The video tutorials for this plugin were released with the v2 update. Since the release of the v3 version, these tutorials are no longer available on their channel.

Finally, you will see a support link that will allow you to open a new ticket to contact both Codecanyon and Codetipi.

Migration

Let's review migration

If you have older reviews on your site and you would like to merge them with this plugin, migration will do that for you. You can choose from five different systems, including WP Product Review and Divi Extra.

You can choose what you have used previously and then click “Convert Old Reviews“. The plugin will merge all previous reviews with the new ones.

Let’s Review Options

Let's review options

In this options tab, you will get some general options. You can enable or disable these options, including the JSON-LD schema, FontAwesome files, and others. This will be the default setting, and we recommend that you leave it that way.

Perhaps you would like to make the following changes:

If you enable ‘Show full review outside post‘, the full review will be displayed outside of the post. As a result, you can place your review either at the top of the post or the bottom without the review appearing as a break from your content.

Alternatively, you can choose to allow everyone who lands to leave a rating or just those who are logged into the site.

Another cool feature that I like is the ability to add reviews to the comment section that may affect the Editor’s review. Additionally, you can upvote or downvote reviews of comments.

With custom code, you can customize the cart icon that appears at the bottom of each review.

Default Values

Let's review default values

With Default Values, you can set permanent review settings whenever you add a new review. You can change all of the values when you live to edit, but you can still include your favorites here.

  • Format: You can show the review score as percentages, points, or icons.
  • Locations: You can choose to show your review at the top, at the bottom, with the score at the top, the points at the bottom, and also in the center of the post.
  • Design: Six different designs with various options.
  • Animations: Three different animations: None, Incremental, and Fade in.
  • Background Theme: Dark or light
  • Pros and Cons Block: Add the good and bad features of the product
  • Criteria: You can add multiple criteria with scores to make the product more appealing for a buyer.

How to Implement the Plugin?

After the update on v3, you are getting 3 ways to add the review to your products. You can do this through:

  • Post Edit
  • Gutenberg Editor and
  • Shortcodes

Gutenberg Editor

Let's review gutenberg editor

If you are using Gutenberg block editor on your WordPress website, you can click on the new block from the page or post editor and locate the Let’s Review addon. Once you click on it, you will see an editable review section.

In the block section on the right side of the WordPress editor, you will find plugin settings. By flipping a switch, you can display or hide the Final Score and User Rating.

You can choose from 6 different designs of how your review block should look like. You can choose from 5 different options when it comes to displaying the scores, which include images and custom SVG files.

In addition, you can modify the block’s animation settings, colors, and schema type.

Post/Page Options

Let's review post-Page options

If you are not a fan of Gutenberg, you can still add the plugin using the Meta box on a post or page. For this, you need to open the targeted post and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Here you need to toggle “Enable Review” to get all the settings. You will get 6 customizable fields here.

  • General: You can choose the review type “Editor Review” or “Visitor Rating”or a combination of both. Moreover, you can decide where you would like your reviews to appear. You can select top, bottom, and score on top review at the bottom, as well as just inside the product description. Similarly to the Gutenberg editor, you can configure your score style and add short notes to the score as well.
  • Fields: You can add your score on this tab, including the pros and cons of the product.
  • Design: This field will allow you to select from 6 different designs, two themes, and colors of the fonts. You can add a custom cart icon with codes as well.
  • Media: It lets you create a gallery for your product and a featured image of the product in the review box.
  • Affiliate: Add your affiliate or buying page link here.
  • Schema: Add this to help Google understand the review better.

Classic Editor

Let's Review: Smart WordPress Review & Rating Plugin 1

Most WordPress users prefer this editor, and some themes require a plugin to function properly. There is no way that you will not be able to edit here.

Based on your edits and settings for a review, the plugin generates a shortcode and places it on the last cursor that you click.

You can insert an existing review generated from the “default values” of the plugin settings. Alternatively, you can add a completely new review by clicking and editing the scores, pros, and cons.

You could also add a dedicated “Visitor Rating” as well as your own to strengthen the credibility of the review blog. You can also place Affiliate buttons on your blog in your preferred positions.

Another option you may find useful is the comparison list. This list allows you to compare up to two of your reviewed products side-by-side, making it easy for your visitors to choose their targeted product when they have read both of your reviews.

Translatable

The plugin already comes with RTL. Therefore, you can translate to any language with the help of a .po/.mo file. You can also use the Loco Translate Plugin for both front-end and back-end translations.

Let’s Review Price

A regular license for the plugin is $29 at Codetipi or Codecanyon. You can also purchase the extended license for $375, which allows you to use the plugin on unlimited websites.

Let’s Review: Final Verdict

Whether you are an affiliate product reviewer or involved in eCommerce, you must have a review plugin to create better content. Nothing is more effective than graphical elements to draw a customer’s attention to a particular product.

Your blog posts may pass unnoticed by the average reader, but when you add pros and cons in a dedicated box with an eye-catching icon, it is hard to miss. I suggest you try it for your site, and you will be unable to resist it again.
